My name is Lorraine and I’m the Field Team Coordinator here at South West Water.
I’ve been in my role since 2021 and have worked for South West Water for four years. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to educate and support people with what we can provide as a company. I not only help with third party customer referrals that come in, but I also host meetings to present what we have to offer and this can also include attending community events. My role is not only versatile but can be challenging as I deal with a lot of vulnerable customers. By ensuring that we have linked in with Partnerships across the South West area, means we can support their clients who may not have the confidence to contact us directly.
Outside of work, I’m a mum to four boys and we enjoy training and competing in taekwondo together. I also have my dog who I enjoy walking and I do find family time the best time. I’d like to think of myself as bubbly and helpful person, who brings a lively energy to the team.
Hello, my name is Ollie and I joined South West Water in January 2023 as a Field Billing Specialist, I was looking for a new challenge and had previously had roles where helping people and the community was where I thrived, so I jumped at the chance to join the Billing Resolution Field team at South West Water.
My job role takes me all over this beautiful region where we are so fortunate to live, to meet many interesting people in many different settings, libraries, job centres, foodbanks, community groups and events all with the intention and ability to help people better afford their water bills and/or manage their arrears. Many of us are struggling these days with the rising cost of living so it is rewarding to be able to tell people you can help them and then do so, utilising the extra support that South West Water offers. I enjoy my role, the fact that every day and journey is different, every person you meet is different and it is so rewarding being able to help those who are struggling in a time that is difficult for so many.
My name is Tom and I am the Field Billing Specialist for East Devon and Bournemouth.
This field-based role has led to the development and growth of our Partnerships portfolio. I work collaboratively with organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureau, social housing providers and debt charities by attending community events with the aim of actively seeking out our most vulnerable customers. I strive to ensure the delivery of optimal support and services available through our company. I firmly believe that we have a responsibility to our most vulnerable customers to prevent the escalation of their debt.
I believe that great customer service lies at the heart of success and can only be achieved by reliable, trustworthy, hard-working individuals who have a compassionate and empathetic nature. I gain job satisfaction and motivation through helping those most in need.
Outside of work I have a passion for the great outdoors and can usually be found hiking the cliffs somewhere along the South West Coast Path.
My name is Darren. I joined South West Water in 2018 having previously served in the Armed Forces. I started my career within the field team, and this gave me an insight in to the many ways in which our customers struggle. Working in field team at times was very challenging but could also be very rewarding when you are able to help a customer who is suffering from extreme hardship it makes you feel proud to be working for your community. In October 2023 I was lucky enough to become a Community and Customer Liaison Officer covering Cornwall. Cornwall with all its outstanding beauty and incredible and diverse landscape and beaches also has some of the most deprived areas. I am very lucky to be able to work in small villages coastal areas and hamlets that have previously had limited contact with our company and who were not aware of the incredible support that we can offer our customers. I work strongly with one of our partnership’s Community Energy Plus and this partnership has been proven to be a huge benefit to our customers.
Away from work I am a husband and father to three incredible children. Watching them grow in to this world makes me want to provide the best service for the people I meet and to always give the respect that they deserve
