What is the Priority Services Register?

This is a free service where you tell us what extra support you need. We can then tailor our services to suit your requirements to make your life easier. The help we provide depends on your needs.

Who can register with Priority Services?

There are a range of circumstances that mean someone might join the Priority Services Register. This includes a disability or medical condition, restricted mobility or a short-term injury, a mental health condition or neurodiversity, a sight, hearing or speech condition, being over 65 years old or having children under five at home.

You can also sign up if you’ve had a major life change such as bereavement, job loss or another significant challenge.

What kind of support is available?

The support we provide depends on customer need. This includes:

Check if you can join other companies’ Priority Services schemes

Other companies that provide you with utility services will also have a Priority Services Register. This includes things like gas, electricity, phone and internet providers. If you are eligible for help from us, you can probably also get help from other companies, too.

We tell other trusted organisations like the National Grid when customers are on our Priority Services Register. This data sharing helps to make sure that customers get the right support.

How long do you stay on the Priority Services Register?

We check in with you every two years to see if your needs have changed. At any time, you can update your details or leave the register. Being on the register means you are sharing your personal data with us.
